Despite having only been in the acting game for three years, Damson Idris is on track to becoming the UK's next big export with a role opposite Kate Mara on the big screen as well as a lead in a hard-hitting US TV drama.

The Peckham born 24 year old, the youngest of six children, got his first taste of success after appearing on British TV shows such as Miranda, Doctors and Casualty, but has now caught the eye of Hollywood casting agents; he recently wrapped filming on FX's pilot Snowfall, which focuses on the beginnings of the crack cocaine epidemic in LA in the 1980s, and will next go in front of the camera alongside former House of Cards star Mara to shoot Megan Leavey, a biopic of an American soldier of the same name.
